This month I have a lot of conversations with people about my why with my work and I wanted to talk about it here. My work is more than just art. It's a tool, a resource for you to help you with difficult seasons, moments of uncertainty, and growing pains. My art has helped me so much with my healing journey and if anything comes from it, I hope it gives you that same comfort. Hedgehogs in the Forest made its debut this past weekend at Firefly Market. And it was a huge hit! Marcia was one of the lucky ones to snag one and has been asking for years if I would ever add hedgehogs to my collection. I'm excited that they got to get this piece and connected to it. Evening Moon Blooms and Morning Star Blooms are a duo that I have been wanting to create for some time now. They represent all of the magical moments that nature brings in the morning and at night. One of my favorite things to do in the morning is go for a walk and observe the blooms that are in my garden. And at night, they are there too - waiting for pollinators to come. Here it is! The piece that I have been working on for years, it is so close to my heart and I'm excited to share it with you all I created Nature’s Embrace as the heart of my Healing Garden series. A piece meant to hold space for your healing journey and moments of growth. The warm, soft greens, soothing blooming florals, and gentle layers of texture reflect how nature can steady you. Reminding you to try to ground yourself in uncertainty, allowing your body and mind to rest, and give grace as you challenge your trauma. This piece was born from my own quiet moments of uncertainty, where I found comfort in the stillness of the natural world. My hope is that it offers you that same sense of grounding, a visual breath to remind you that you are still becoming, still blooming, and always worthy of unconditional love. Each design is only printed 100 times in 8x10 and 11x14. Signed and number by me and comes with a poem that is related to the piece to bring it together. ✨ I’m finally getting around to sharing a project I created with @illumicrate Earlier this year I had the honor of illustrating a seamless pattern for a foldable picnic blanket, inspired by A Treachery of Swans by A.B. Poranek 🦢 This collaboration launched a while ago, but it feels especially fitting to share it now - the tones, the texture, and the mood all feel right at home in October. 🍂

What gentle reminder do you need this week? I want to start working on some short poems, so here is quick one that I developed with the piece that spoke to me the most this week Uncomfortable moments of growth lurk at your doorstep and begin flooding your mind a whirlwind of thoughts begging to shed old habits to outgrow places and people that were once your unqualified safety nets feeling like you have to hold on you silence them only for a moment but eventually they find their way to the light at your doorstep Growth is an uncomfortable one - but I like to think when you are there in it it is because you have what you need to work through it ✨

✨ A little happy moment in Geneva, IL - I spotted one of my notebooks (created in collaboration with @shopdenik) at @growgeneva , a beautiful plant shop that just celebrated their 7-year anniversary yesterday! 🌿 GROW has been such a wonderful stockist, carrying a selection of my best selling 4x4 mini prints. I’m truly honored to have my work on their shelves and to be part of their story. I offer both wholesale and licensing opportunities for my artwork. My partnership with Denik is one example of how my illustrations can live beyond prints and cards - and I’d love to explore more ways to bring healing, nature-inspired art into the world. 🌸🌙

I’ve always wanted to be able to connect with others through my work. Art has always been an avenue for me to feel seen and heard. With the overwhelming state of the world, it has been easy for my mind to wander down the rabbit hole of doom. My heart aches for the people that are hurting right now and just the general unknown that 2025 will bring. While I have gratitude that I am healthy and safe, I’m struggling to bring new work to life. Sometimes even functioning is tough. They say that when tragedy hits, artist get to work, and while I want to bring new hope into the world, I’m just not there yet. I hope wherever you are you can find hope in the smallest places, that you can live one moment at a time, and that we come together to support and love each other in the ways we need.

It’s true that you never know what the universe has waiting for you until you experience it. 2024 was filled with firsts - first time finding my work in stores like @target @cvspharmacy @joann_stores First time having three walls to display my work at @ooakchicago First time reaching out to local shops about if they are interested in selling my work, most saying yes! And countless hours trying to push myself outside my comfort zone with meeting new people, friends, and sharing some of my most vulnerable art I’ve been trying to take time to rest, but January has already been busy. Which I’m amazed at given the holiday hangover I was ready for. Thank you for seeing me, believing in my work, and supporting what I love to do everyday. I couldn’t have imagined the opportunities my art would bring me. I’m looking forward to what the universe has waiting for me in 2025 ✨

I’m still recovering from @ooakchicago - in such a beautiful way. Thank you for a memorable show (it was also my birthday during the show - a birthday I’ll always remember ✨). One of a kind was truly a full circle moment for me. As someone who has been wanting to be an artist pretty much their entire life. Much like in this photo - as a kid I went to this same @barnesandnoble on a field trip and wondered if I would ever see my work in the store. And I look back at this year, I see all the moments where I did that. I accomplished the thing I wanted to be the very most, an artist. I had an overwhelming amount of positive comments about my work. It was moment after moment of I did that, I’m doing it, I get to be an artist - people are being moved by my work, something I think most artists try to work towards I put the hours in, to learn and grow, but never would imagine how many of you connect to and see my work. Thank you for supporting what I do so I can continue to live in moments I only dreamt of as a kid.
